Big Screen Entertainment Group and William Shatner bring Hollywood movie magic to "Music City"

Big Screen Entertainment Group (OTC: BSEG) was extremely proud to join their producing partner, William Shatner, on the red carpet Friday night, the 17th, at the Nashville Film Festival for the world premiere of their newest film, “William Shatner’s Gonzo Ballet”
The sold out event was a testament to the popularity of William Shatner as throngs of fans and journalists lined the red carpet to catch a glimpse of “Boston Legal’s,” Denny Crane, accompanied by his lovely wife, Elizabeth. Joining the Shatners and the Big Screen team at the high profile event were music stars Cheryl Crow and Ben Folds, “Law and Order” actor, Vincent D’Onofrio, Scott Hamilton, as well as the Oakridge Boys.
Prior to the film’s screening, Nashville Mayor Karl Dean presented Mr. Shatner with a customized Gibson acoustic guitar, a true one of a kind symbol of Nashville’s musical legacy. The hand painted guitar was part of the 2009 NaFF President’s Impact Award for “Gonzo Ballet.”
“It was an emotional evening for everyone associated with the production as “Gonzo” brought down the house. Shatner and the film makers took questions from the appreciative crowd following an extended standing ovation,” said BSEG CEO Kimberley Kates.
“Interest from distributors was fantastic and the numbers that are being offered are higher than expected,” stated BSEG President David Zappone. Big Screen and Shatner are currently in negotiations for a television and DVD release. “William Shatner’s Gonzo Ballet,” will also be coming to the big screen in the near future for a limited theatrical release.
The evening ended in classic Nashville fashion as the Shatners, Big Screen and fellow film makers and friends boarded the uniquely outfitted Gibson Guitar Bus and made stops at historical places of interest across Nashville and then attended a special VIP dinner held at the Nashville Gibson Entertainment Relations Showroom.
